I feel like it's underexposed, but that might just be me. Definitely too dark for my tastes. It's Vegas - it shoul,d be bright and wild...that's the point.

...great composition, though.

I like the facts that you kept the highlights in check. I can't say it's underexposed.

good shot

When going through my pics, everyone would ask how I got the picture, "they let you"...
I was walking around with my Camera and my 50mm 1.8 and no one said anything to me....I didn't know photography was frowned upon.

I agree with Doc, the highlights weren't blown. There's a lot of detail lurking in those shadows, PP can coax them out. I was going to ask you too how they let you use your cam :)

Nice picture.

I felt just a touch more DOF would have drawn me further down the line (if that is what you were going for).

My real question is how were you able to take a picture in a Vegas casino? They (security) usually are all over you if the even get a sniff of your CMOS (or film).

I like the concept, the lines of machines, and the glow from the screens. I, too, thought it was too dark and would prefer to see more DOF. Glad you were able to take the picture without security grabbing you.

I like the exposure - but if it were me... which it wasn't... I would have selected the 2nd machine to be the center of focus. But hey... it looks nice as is.

cheers

I like the exposure as is. That's what the 'subject' is, the blinking lights of the slots. The image captures the essence of the casino- illuminate only what you want the customer to see with no distractions. Keep them there as long as possible!

You could walk around taking photo's of gamblers all day long and they wouldn't even know it! (of course the security would catch you very quickly).
