I have a large collection of shots of moths taken as I remove them from the traps. I usually identify them from the photographs for the national records.
I would like to turn these images into a catalogued collection so that I can use it to further assist my own identification. However, I have ended up with something resembling a child's stamp collection. Part have the species name in IPTC, others have it in the file name like Nemapogon granella 07.jpg whilst more have the name in text on the image.
I could add keywords like, January Moths, Brown Moths etc but I am completely stuck on finding a programme which might reduce my work load - and which, at my age, I can understand!
I presently still use Helicon Photosafe Pro, I've completely failed to understand my copy of Organize in an old version of Photoshop elements.
Any suggestions as to how I dig myself out of this mess - does such a cataloguing app exist for senile old farts?
