Puffins and Murres

I'm heading home to Indiana after a 60 day trip from Idaho to Canadian Rockies, Alaska Highway, all over Alaska and then back down to B.C. and Washington state. Great trip. Got to see puffins and other alcids up close at the Alaska Sealife Center in Seward. First is some horned puffins.

Next, a tufted puffin

Thank you. I never had seen them previously either. Alcids are a very interesting group: solid bones for diving with just enough wing left to fly and swim well.
