26mp = crop mode

uncompressed vs compressed is both 61mp, uncompressed file size should be double the size

There are a plethora of lower mp modes in jpeg.

as expected, noway the R4 hangs with the A9

when my kids swam (back with the original R), I would shoot manual focus and get a fairly high keeper rate as the action was so predictable (but not AF friendly), you get used to the throw.

So after assessing the situation I am going for the upgrade now. thanks for all your input.

I feel the 5DSR is an option but it is more megapixel with going back on technology like auto focus, eye AF, 4K video etc.

Also I am using Sigma ART lenses so it is becoming a reaaaaaaaaaally heavy setup for me.

I think it will be good to finally make the move in to mirrorless. I was waiting for Canon R5 but it seems it is more video focus than anything. yes it has all the new features but again Canon is new in this stage where Sony have delivered a lot over the years and I feel A7R IV will be better and safer option for now.

I will keep all my EF glasses so in case in future I can move back to Canon R5S or something LOL :-P:love:
