The 135mm and 85mm prime L lenses are the perhaps the two most magical lenses in the Canon lineup. It breaks my heart to sell this one. Almost indistinguishable from new. The only signs of use that I can see are very faint rub marks on the hood if you look very carefully. More photos https://www.amazon.com …ZQ.2R3W88faG8jDfthmZutYx8 (external link)

Make an offer, but please do not lowball. I don't bite :)

Look at my other posts for great deals on Canon L lenses and cameras.

After using this lens, and watching reviews, I concluded it's still better than the Sigma 135mm. I found that too much sharpness can be a deficit, and this lens has nearly perfect sharpness without overdoing it. The light weight is a dream using this lens. i'd almost buy it, but I need to get a macro first.

I have both this lens and the Zeiss Distagon T*. They are both very different. The Zeiss colors pop out but it is almost impossible to get good sharp photos of moving kids (my primary subjects). On the other hand, this lens gets tack sharp photos but the colors are different from the Zeiss. Unfortunately have never tried the sigma. BTW I also have a 100 mm macro for sale. Maybe you can get them both!

Know what you mean about the Zeiss color. I had Zeiss Milvus, then found the new Canon RF 50mm 1.2 renders equally good but with autofocus, so sold the Milvus. The used asking prices for the 100mm IS have been high across the board, that I'm leaning to the refurbished from Canon, which is better than new. $668 w/ free shipping and no Pay Pal fees. Unless I find a mint 100mm for around $525 to $550, I'll probably visit Canon USA again. That I'm teetering with the non-macro last week is one reason I didn't order yet.

This one was the one I missed the most in my move to Fuji. If you go to Fuji make sure to pick up the 90. It's fantastic. Not quite magical like the 135L... this lens was my favorite. I do miss it.

OMG you are making this so hard for me :) I kept going back and forth on wether I should abandon Canon or not. The 85, 135, and 50 L are my all time favorites, along with the magical 70-200 2.8 IS. But I am disappointed by how Canon is going with its mirrorless strategy and forcing people to upgrade to RF lenses. I recently got the sony a7R3 with 85 GM lens and the autofocus on that is amazing. I get tack sharp images at 1.4 with a keep rate of well over 90%. That is what finally sold me. Fuji is going to be my backup/walkabout system.

Happy to do a combo deal (the 135 and 100 L). Hit me up with an offer and maybe we can work something out. My lenses are mint, probably comparable to the refurbished but will likely hold their value better.

Just do it, don't look back. No regrets. Sony/Fuji will treat you just fine.

Oh, the 100L is awesome as well. I bought it used and sold it 2 years later for only $50 less than I bought it for. Razor sharp always. An awesome lens.

This is just silly nostalgia on my part. I started shooting with Canon well over 15 years ago, went through multiple iterations of camera and lenses. Ironically, my first digital camera was from Sony and that was over 17 years ago. Life comes back full circle I guess.
