Adobe Bridge, do you still use it or do you just use Lightroom as a catalogue for Photoshop?

Cheers,
Bear Dale

For photography I just use Lr, and have been since the first public beta of Lr4 was released. I pretty much try to do everything in Lr that I can, saving Ps for the tricky stuff. My Lr catalogue is now at over 80K images. I do still use Bridge quite a bit too though. I use it for all the times I'm not doing Photography, but am still using Adobe file formats. I use Ai, Id, Pr and Au a fair bit too. I have Lr save xmp's so that I also get previews of my Lr edits when I am using Bridge. So for me Bridge and Lr are complementary, I use them for different things.

I wish LR had a link to Bridge similar to "Show in Explorer". My preferred workflow for reduced size jpgs for the web is to do the DAM and editing in LR, then size reduction in ACR so that I can open the low res bitmap version in PS and do layered output sharpening with Focus Magic and Content Aware Healing in 16 bit before writing the jpg. To get from LR to ACR, I save an xmp and use Explorer as the bridge.

100% of the time. I use it when culling images and then use ACR and of course PS. The Adobe Bridge has changed my life in organizing my images.

I don’t touch LR, and I own the LR 4 disc. I tried to use it in the beginning but I found that after not being able to easily locate my images outside of LR on my desktop I switched to my CS6, ACR, and yes Bridge. These work for the workflow I had been taught to edit my NEF files.

Yes to Bridge. ACR IMHO is still the best RAW development tool. Sorry, not going to argue with the C1 crowd.

Never use Lightroom.

Me Too - On a Mac!

Edit - Maybe I posted too quickly. I use PS CS6, but Bridge CC 2019. Bridge is free, why not keep it current?

Bridge for me for many years. I find it so much faster when compared to Lightroom. I have not opened Lightroom in years so I do not know if they have optimized the software since. I didn't hate Lightroom, it just ran so slowly.

+1 here with a "Yes."

I use it primarily due to it being a thumbnail browser, as I arrange my images in named
directories by date=>site/event/etc. Plus the fact that it complements CS6 and ACR natively.

I have mine setup with different Workspaces that suits my needs. I'm also a Photoshop guy and cannot remember the last time I launched LR. Bridge to ACR to PS for years!

The best thing about LR over Bridge is that you can use dual monitors and have a full size preview on one monitor.
