Excellent... yeah I think we had Tri-X, T-Max, and Ilford long ago...

The negatives tell me it was Kodak Safety Film 5063, which I think is Tri-X

We had to use what ever the school bought.
sometimes it was Tri-X, Plus-X or Ilford 100.
Those were great times.

Thanks!

Evenin' all - newbie here!
Got my 90D 2 weeks ago and have only had time to play with it indoors so far.
I've read this thread from beginning to end and it's interesting to see how heated things got in the beginning and how they have settled down now.
I was quite sad when I realised cdmazoff had stopped posting. They have some wonderful shots on their Flickr "In Memoriam" page.
I'm encouraged by the fantastic photos posted on here too and will start using my camera in anger next week on our holiday in Devon.
I trawled the internet and have come up with standards settings (everyday), C1 (action & wildlife) and C2 (landscapes), hopefully things will turn out OK. I think Michael The Maven seems to understand this camera better than most so I've mostly followed his advice.
I'll try to stay behind the camera and out of the pub next week and get some shots posted on here!

I hope you enjoy your camera. I keep looking at the 90D but haven't made the leap yet. Food for thought: I've set up C3 for night shots. Something like aperture priority and ISO 800 with a floating shutter speed. It helps in the dark to have a reasonable starting point when you can't read the dials.

Thanks Rod.
No C3 on the 90D sadly.
Did I read somewhere that it's possible to save settings to the memory card too?

You might not like the 90D. It only goes up to C2. :-)

I went to a 90D from an 80D and it's now my favorite camera. (I also own a 5Div and a 6Dii.)

But Maggsy has it backwards. C1 is for static shots and C2 is for action. At least on my camera. :-)

Your call as to how you handle it. There is a lunar eclipse November 19. Looks like it will be visible on your side of the pond. Good chance to put your choices to the test.

I know some cameras will save settings to the card. No idea if the 90D will.

Thanks for the heads up on the eclipse Rod. I've made a note in my diary ߑ
Fingers crossed there won't be cloud or rain (unheard of for UK in November)Ͱߙ

Yeah that was a freak storm that developed right over me in a matter of minutes... was originally photographing with the 100-400ii for lightning way way way on the horizon, and then within minutes, wind kicked up, and then lightning was right over me... switched lenses and got a few shots and got the H outta there!!
