Jul 15, 2022 17:27 | #2627 I simply put: " L+Tracking AF mode " into google - Inspeqtor wrote in post #19402508 I am really struggling with my camera. There are obviously settings that got changed... I do not know what settings changed or how they got changed. I looked in the EOS-90D PDF manual (eos90d-ug4-en) did a search for "focus" but came up with nothing. Then on the left side under the listings I saw "AF, Drive, and Exposure Settings" so I clicked on that. I am pretty sure I want to be on the One Shot mode which is what I always use for probably 90% / 95% of my shooting and always Live Screen when shooting the moon using my tripod and I always use my RS-60E3 remote when shooting the moon. For my single point focus point I see on page 128 it talks about this but does not really explain to me how to set my camera to get this. Shortly after I bought my camera I was able to set my camera to do this, but I do not know how to do this any more. At the very top of page 132 #1 says Press the (showing two different options) what are these options and where are these options on my camera body? Will either of these options help me with the problems I am having? The second image I showed you, "The image cannot be magnified in "L+Tracking AF mode" Does anyone here know what this is and why am I now getting this when I try while in Live Mode to zoom in using the + magnifying button at top right corner on back of camera? Thank you to anyone??

You can get into the menu and turn it off... You can always restore all factory settings if it's confusing/past the point of extreme frustration... Anytime you have a question, chances are - someone else has also had the same question - so I'd just do an online search as you may find it on here, but you're likely to find the answer much faster using the "don't do evil" company ![]() Charles

drsilver Goldmember More info | Jul 16, 2022 12:59 | #2631 A little bit more on settings. I mentioned in an earlier post that, before you do anything else, spend a few hours watching a tutorial video or reading a book about your 90D to familiarize yourself with all the settings and what they do. Start with the defaults and only change things for a reason. Those reasons will become apparent as you learn about the system.

I mentioned in an earlier post that, before you do anything else, spend a few hours watching a tutorial video or reading a book about your 90D to familiarize yourself with all the settings and what they do. Start with the defaults and only change things for a reason. Those reasons will become apparent as you learn about the system. Your 90D is a sophisticated piece of machinery. If you want it to, you can set it up to make all the decisions for you, and it will do a pretty good job. Most of us want more control than that so we can add our human skills and intuitions to the final result. But to be honest, even though my cameras are fully customized, 80% or more is still at the factory defaults. So don't get too wrapped around the axle by the complexity of the menu system. I also mentioned "C" modes. C1 and C2 are places where you can save sets of custom settings and recall them fast. A year ago or so I started a thread to poll users on what they keep in their C modes. POST 19233671 I went back and looked at that thread and noticed how simple everyone's configurations are, including mine. A half dozen different setting changes define each custom mode. You don't have to make it too complicated. Those C modes are just starting places. You can change settings on the fly as necessary to make the shot you want. If you get lost and turned around, you can start over. Thank you DR! Charles
