Without owning a 90D. I have read that the focus system on the 90D is not as responsive as the system on the 7D2. Part of the reason is probably due to the fact that the 90D has one processor and the 7D2 has two, one of which is dedicated to the focus system.

This is probably something you will just have to live with.

Rod

Thanks for that - at least I know that now.

I forgot to mention that the 7D2 is about 20meg vs the 32meg on the 90D so a lot more information to process.

When I transitioned from the 7D2 to the 90D, I felt that the 90D had better AF points, evident when I used only one, but the 7D2 had more "combined intelligence" of the collective AF points in larger patterns. So, it was easier for a small or thin subject to get lost between the AF points on the 90D than the 7D2.

One would hope the technology improves over time. My brother bought a 90D last week. I'm looking forward to his thoughts. I keep thinking about a new camera but my 7D2 has 18k on it in 9 years. With a shutter rated at 200k I should be good to the age of 181

There was some high haze, but I think it came out not bad anyway. You can just barely start to make out the gap between the surface and the rings.
