I seem to have issues with blues and greens not coming through as the original; e.g. grass, sky and water. Have to adjust the color tone in PS. Not that I’ve seen; make sure when you export from LR to Denoise, you select TIFF and 300 dpi.

Thanks, that may be the problem. I've been exporting another DNG. Have to convert the CR3's from the 90D to DNG because Topaz doesn't speak CR3 (yet?). Then processing, exporting as another DNG, then bringing them into PS. I'll give this a whirl, but the images look "off color" when I first bring them in. I've been running Topaz first, then PS or LR. They may look "truer" if I bring them in as a TIFF. Retired, but still learning ...

I have DeNoise as an external editor, so just right click > edit in Topaz, and it creates a new TIFF. So far I haven’t seen any artifacting in blue skies or anything doing it this way, but let’s say you tried to work a jpeg, I can see the tonal gradations getting chunky due to the lossy file format.

Great shot! northern california is known to be a pretty good spot for seeing bobcats...sometimes they stay and hang out for a while...lots of times they just turn and run as soon as you drive up....this one sat for me...the light rain may have helped Andre or Dre

Dec 20, 2019 04:15 | #1408 MatthewK wrote in post #18974210 Beautiful, moody shot, with great subject isolation, Andre. 100% recommend Topaz DeNoise AI, it single handily got rid of my fear of shooting at higher ISOs. Throughout my photography career/experience, there's only been a handful of times where something has played a pivotal role in revolutionizing my workflow or improving my final shots: Topaz DeNoise is one of those. Don't listen to the EXIF here this was shot on the 90D w/ my 600 f/4 III, and the ISO is actually 10,000. Forgot to add: this photo was processed w/ Topaz DeNoise AI. Lightroom was making a huge mess of things, and DN-AI rescued the shot. I've heard much about Topaz DeNoise, all of it good. The trouble is, for me my PP is very weak, I can't even use layers in my work flow, I mean, I understand the principles of them, but using them has always left me frustrated ( especially as everyone seems to find them so easy ). At what stage of PP do you use DN Ian

As for 3rd party noise removal software, I would be interested in seeing a comparison of what LR can do by itself and a plugin like Topaz. I confess I am a doubter. Hi... I process my RAW in DPP and then export an 8 bit EXIF-TIFF to photoshop, where I do minimal.. I have Topaz DeNoise as a plugin to my PS. I don't always use it because I find that it over sharpens things (even when I tell it not to sharpen) It is usually the last thing I do in the process "His thoughts tumbled in his head, making and breaking alliances
