Near the mouth of the Columbia R. A tad over 4 miles (6.55 km) in length.

^ Great photo of the Astoria-Megler bridge. It was under construction/repair when I was there and I couldn't get the entire expanse in one shot like you did.

There's another good location for this type of shot, higher up the hill behind the houses, and behind where you were. I didn't have the time, or enough daylight to figure out how to get up there. If I ever get back to that region...

Thanks. I've seen that shot from the hill. The 360 degree ramp really makes it too.

The Auckland Harbour Bridge is the first in the world to be lit (for special occasions) totally by renewable energy. There are many colours and they can be programmed to change with music.
