I’ve been a member since 2015. I moved to Japan at the end of 2017 and my account has been reset. Is there an admin that can help me out. I have an apo address which is an American address. Believe it or not technology is super expensive here. (I have a tv that I bought in the states for $600 that sells here for $2100, it’s crazy) I had a ton of photos and sales as well as access to the G&n section. Help an Airman out.

I'm confused, you want account unlocked but you can post? My confusion does not matter...

I think the best place to make this post would be 'Forum Talk'.

To contact a moderator go to your Avatar and underneath it click "Report". ie report your own thread / post. (A report goes to moderators so you are most of the way to what you want).

I'm confused as well. How can you make all these posts if you are locked out.

Thanks, that’s exactly what I wanted. Again, I haven’t been a part of the forum for quite some time. I’m trying to get back into being a contributor. I keep finding gear that I want that I can’t reply to, that is getting annoying.

Now I understand. Your post count has been reset to Zero. Go comment on 16 photos and you'll be up to 30 posts which I think is the magic number.

Now I am confused. . Why, or how, could someone's post count be reset to zero? . I have never heard of a member's post count being manipulated.

I would love to have a complete understanding of exactly what all has happened with this gentleman's account over the past several years.

.

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

I'm not sure what you're asking. Accounts don't get "reset". Post counts don't revert to zero. Did you have a different account? Please clarify here or via PM.

Thanks,

I presume Labmonkey was his original account, especially given the posts and contents matching this account.

Good research!

If that is the case, which it certainly appears to be, then his original account was NOT locked. . The only time an account is "locked" is when the member is banned, and Labmonkey is not under a ban.

All he has to do is to sign into his original account with the password that he used when he set it up - the same way anybody accesses any account that they set up on the internet for anything. . I really don't understand the "locked account" thing. . It seems to be nothing more than a misunderstanding about how accounts work ..... a misunderstanding that should be easily cleared up.

By the way, if someone forgets their password, then their account is not locked. . All it means is that they forgot their password, which does not change the status of an account.

Ok,

You'll have to choose between accounts

https://photography-on-the.net/forum/member.php?m=411655
https://photography-on-the.net/forum/member.php?m=412725

If you choose to keep the new one (Labmonkey80), I can give you G&N permissions there.

If you choose to pick the old account, I'll hande it so that you get access again (new pass and perhaps email change there).

Account you choose to leave unused will be closed, as only one account can be had here. Images or posts can not be moved between accounts.

The mods to the rescue, always with the correct answers! :)

And I actually really like that picture, a bit of authority, with a hint of mischievousness.

Awesome, thanks for looking into this everyone! I would like to apologize as as well. I typically use Labmonkey80 as a handle since Labmonkey is usually always taken. I’m a dental lab tech for the Air Force and we’re currently stationed in Okinawa. (This place is beautiful!)

Thanks again, if Pekka wouldn’t mind sending me a pm we can get this straightened out!:-D

Great! Remember to change your email to current one in https://photography-on-the.net/forum/fyeo.php?show=email (and it can not be what you use now with Labmonkey80 as an unique email is needed).

Can I close down Labmonkey80 now?
