Canon 100-400mm Ver. II

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:

I am selling my Canon 100-400mm Ver. II to make way for another camera in addition to the fact that I have enough zoom lenses.

FULL DISCLOSURE:

Upon inspecting the lens for flaws I noticed, when looking from the rear of the lens towards the front, scratching on the front element. I could not see it when looking at it from the front albeit when I asked my daughter to look she saw some scratching but she had to struggle a bit to see it. I then posted a question to POTN about this and received good responses. Here is a link to that thread:

Aside from the above there are a couple of dings on the base of the ring unit as well as the knob. Routine wear and tear.

Rather than bother sending it in for fixing I have decided to discount the price to what I believe is reasonable and sell the lens in AS IS condition. I believe that without those scratches the going rate for this would likely be in the $1100 - $1200 range.

The picture of the jaguar is one I recently took while in Brasil's Pantanal using this very lens on my 7D Mark II. I've also included 3 additional random images (blue sky etc.) which I took this morning in order to see whether the scratches are affecting the image quality which, as best as I can tell, they are not.

I am asking for $800.00 AS IS.
