Peacock in the backyard

The peacock spiders have finally come into colour in our backyard.
Here are the first two males I found (Maratus Pavonis)

There is about five different species of peacock spider that have been recorded in Tasmania there is about 70 species around Australia and they are still finding new ones.

There is a lot of info there as well as a lot of members who wait patently for peacock season and get out and take lots of photos :lol::lol::lol:

Will look into it more.

I do see a lot of "murky places" through my work, and yet see so few spiders.
More lizards and snakes  :p

These little chaps like the leaf litter in the warmth, others seam to like succulents by the beach. They are only in colour this time of the year and less than 5mm long.
Keep looking, one you have seen your first one it will be easier to spot them
