Another great contest OhLook as reflected in the varied responses to the theme! Thanks for setting this one up!

My photo is from our annual Neighborhood 4th of July parade and picnic. I’m the “official” photographer for that event and have done so for years.


Jim -- I keep the Leica D-Lux 7 in the Glove Box just in case!

Well deserved, too. Of course, a herd of anything is a gathering, but I was especially impressed because they look so purposeful, like people all going to a community meeting about something important. Not that the choices were easy. I liked all the photos.

The bison were on a mission....heading to the next grazing area for breakfast! it was fairly early in the morning and we were on one of the old school yellow buses and the first vehicle in the line behind the big, furry beasts. A great vantage point. We were just moving along at the speed of nature....
