Please pay attention to the posting guidelines.

https://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=51051

In particular, if you MUST have many pics in a message please state this (and the full size of all pics) in the title.

Also, please try to keep your pics below 800 pixels on the long side, and around 100KB.

Lastly, no bumping. Bumping is when one post a reply to their own thread where the reply adds nothing to the conversation. Such an act just makes it seem like you're pushing your image back to the top of the forum. Please don't do this. It will not be tolerated.

If nobody posts replies to your post then please wait a couple days and post it again - perhaps with a new title, or a plea for attention...

Thanks,
Scott

Is "Thank you for the kind comments" considered bumping? Just want to make sure.

Well, that is a nice thing to do, and such goodness generally adds to the whole forum... so I guess it's OK. :-)

The only thing I'd ask is that folks lump together the thank yous. Personally - and this is just personal - it drives me nuts to see 15 posts in a row all saying "Thank You Tom" and "Thank You Harry" and so on and on....

Even when they are done (all of them) in a matter of 3minutes?
Is that considered bumping?
For instance, you have 6 replies and you want to thank the people,if you reply to all 6 of them within 2-3 minutes is this bumping?

Nah, that's not bumping, it's just a pet peeve I have - though others have PM'd me on this, too. We're just a bunch of whiners sometimes.

No rules or guidelines on that - I just think it makes the forum look messy.

I was trying to seek the reason behind the new "Motorsports" added yesterday, and why not Avian forum. So far no answer :(.

 Me too!

Kick up a ruckus I say!

Dimitri,. though we don't want to dictate how people respond to comments.. I have to say I am in complete agreement with Scottes,. to see six replies from the OP in a row is just irritation to me.. but that's just MHO.

I'd say the best way to phrase it would be "it is not neccesary to create an individual post to thank each person that commented."

Thanks for the reminder, it was needed!

I say, wait 2-3 days before saying "thank you" to all the comments in a post.

It irritates me, too, though it is a nice way to build up your number of posts in a hurry. Hmmmm . . .

On another note, it WOULD be a lot of fun to have a bird forum. :D
