Choose the XT-3 or XH-1?

So now you can get the XH-1 with the booster grip and the 16-55 2.8 for the same price as the XT-3 and the 18-55 kit. I just sold my Canon gear and want a minimal kit. I may later add a 35mm and a 90mm at tops. I already have the X100F. I shoot primarily portraits and street. However, lately, I have been shooting local bands and am interested in learning video as well.

I'm thinking the X-H1 is the better value at that price. The IBIS is quite appealing to me as is the larger size for my mitts. Thoughts?

I am nearly in the same position, having an XE2S plus 23f2 and 56f1.2, but still holding on to my Canon 7dmkii+kit. This would allow me to make the switch. I am likely going to do it, and then decide later whether to keep XH1 and sell my Canon gear, or sell the XH1 body only and hang on to the Canon gear until smoking deals appear on the XT3.

Also would be very interested to hear from XH1 users..... Thanks for posting the topic.

With the points you shared the XH-1 seems like a great fit.

While I haven't personally tested it, I've heard and seen that the image quality and high ISO performance is better in the X-T2 and X-H1 than in the X-T3. The X-T3 benefits are with the AF and speed of shooting; plus 4k and 60fps. If IQ is what you're after, then go X-H1, if speed and AF is what you're after, then go X-T3.

None of these have any NR added, so see for yourself.

X-T3

This one was shot at 12800 and pushed 1.33 stops in post. The one at the end is shot at 51200ISO, again no NR added (set to -4 in camera too)

It's honestly a tough call... from what I understand the X-T3 is better at focusing in low light (which you'll definitely need if shooting bands)… but the X-H1 combo at that price is a whole lot of camera for not a lot of money.

I recently made a similar call and got the X-H1 used with the grip (a camera I never imagined I'd own, I like my small cameras). I haven't really put it through it's paces yet, but so far I'm pretty impressed by it. The IBIS is no joke and the shutter is nearly as quiet as my X100T.

If you want the 90mm, the X-H1 is the no brainer. Having IBIS unlocks that lens to a whole new level.

I got the gripped XH-1 with 16-55 and love it so far. Still figuring out its capabilities
