Here are 2 shots from cross country meets, taken about a week apart at roughly the same spot on the course, same athletes. Difference was that one was taken with my Tamron G2 70-200 f2.8 and the other was taken with a borrowed Canon 70-200 f2.8 mkII (oh, and the temperature difference was 60 degrees). Both with my Canon 7D2

What exactly is the comparison you are trying to make? Given that the images are taken under dramatically different lighting conditions* it is hard to make any judgement in regard to the images themselves and only you would know about the performance difference in regard to things like AF acquisition and tracking.

* The first is in narrow dynamic range overcast conditions while the second is bright sun (and therefore blown highlights and sharp/deep shadows).

Not really any direct comparison of image quality, just happened to have been at the same relative spot with 2 different lenses. I agree, drastically different conditions, the sunny image was 95 degrees and the cloudy image was 9 days later at 36 degrees. I wanted to take some shots with both lenses during two consecutive races but because of the cold, the races were combined and I didn't have time to switch out
