we have a spring trip booked to an inclusive around Cancun. have any bird photogs out there have any general info i should know about? is it even worthwhile lugging the 500mm down there? thanks

Oct 28, 2019 18:19 | #2 I don't think lugging the 500mm will be worthwhile. You may be offered a day trip outing to areas to the south and a hike to a cenote in which case you can see some birds including a mot mot species (forget which). They do tend to sit still if you don't get too close. Unless you go on a genuine "bird trip" though you probably won't have a lot of photo oportunities.
