Evening all,

After a little help please if possible.

To explain first my workflow when editing raw files - I import straight from the SD card into Lightroom, then I edit, save in my Mac to a My Pictures folder, named appropriately. Once that's done, that's it. I delete the image from the card and move on with my life. I've never been interested in re-editing so don't bother keeping them.

So, I imported my recent raw files into Lightroom and for whatever reason, I didn't edit straight away, and the card got removed.

Now i'm trying to re-import them, Lightroom is just 'frozen' on Importing Files. Not even any images are showing in the background as they normally do, as the imports are hitting Lightroom.

Has anyone got any idea how I can get these files into Lightroom please?

Try the easy stuff first:
Shutdown all apps, then reboot.
After reboot check if the disc is full.

My guess is that you will see no images in the Lr import, as you probably have the import set not to show images that are already in the catalogue. That is the default setting for imports. Honestly I'm not sure why you are even using Lr. From you description of your workflow you would be much better off using Bridge/ACR for this. That would remove the need for you to worry about the import step you have to go through with Lr.
