What are the cheapest (and still decent) options?

Craft stores carry anti-reflective glass. Hobby Lobby for instance carries three grades of glass, one of which, called “Museum Glass” is anti-reflective and stops UV light as well.

You have to go into the store. Be prepared with your wallet. A sheet of non-glare glass for a 13x19 photo will be around $50. Regular glass is less than $10. I get my glass from a local glass company that does custom installations.

That seems really expensive. Perhaps for just one piece, custom cut.
To minimize the cost make sure to buy up the entire panel.

But then you have to cut the panel yourself. An 18 x 24 regular piece is around $8 (far cheaper than the craft stores). Non-glare is around $50. I would say the cost is due more to the material than the cutting. 18 x 24 would be the standard size for a 13 x 19 print.

No, I meant buy the entire panel and have it all cut. The actual material does not really cost that much more, it's just 'marketed' that way so they can justify the cost.

I can't find it on their website.

If you don't live near a Hobby Lobby you are likely out of luck. Their offerings in glass are below. Note that Michael's and AC Moore also carry glass and likely even the same products since they are made by a company named TRu Vue Inc. (https://tru-vue.com/ (external link)).

By the way most of these places offer a 25% to 40% discount with a coupon that is available on line.

You could always try a local store that offering frames and framing services...one near us (that we took our Monet print from a Paris museum to be framed) had that available.

Maybe avoid a frame shop and look for a glass/mirror shop? Markup at framers is just nuts.

But 'museum glass' is most often associated with framing shops and art stores, and the generic antireflective products are often acrylic plastic and not 'glass'.
The trademarked product of Tru Vue is called 'Museum Glass®' and is indeed treated glass, and is distributed at Moulding distributors, not glass distributors.

Indeed, alternate sources of product can readily be found on the web. That does leave the issue of custom sizing and getting the standard sizes cut down when a custom size is needed. This is when a frame shop can be handy to use, albeit you pay for the ready-to-use solution.
