#1 has a harsh shadow and a line at the back.

In that regard, which version do you like more -- 1 or 2?

I like 2 much better.

When you see my camera gear you'll think I'm a pro.
When you see my photos you'll know that I'm not.

as usual, I am going to be contrarian. Number two does have a seamless background, but because of that, image 2 looks flat to me. Like an image of the face of a camera lens pasted on a grey background. Lacks depth or dimension.

For what its worth.... I know... Im odd.

I agree, though not necessarily with the last sentence. Number one for me. The shadow between the lens and the reflection gives added body to the image too.

I guess it depends on the purpose of the image but I prefer #2 as well. I find the lines a bit distracting and even though the top one is straight, the bottom one is not and for some of reason, I keep seeing the image as being tilted. I know it's an illusion but I find it distracting.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.
I used to hate math but then I realised decimals have a point.
