I have a few old manual lenses in Nikon F and Minolta MC/MD mounts. Most of them don't seem to adapt very well on the X-T3. Most are reasonably sharp in the center, but soften quite a bit more than I expect as you move away from the center.
My Micro-Nikkor 55mm f/2.8 Ai-s, for example, adapted very well on my Canon 5D3, so I thought it would work nicely on the APS-C Fuji sensor, but no. It uniformly degrades to softness the further I look from the center. I assume it is due to diffraction with the cover glass.
I think it would be fun to use the old lenses more. I've read a little about the speedbooster adapter from Metabones. Does it work well on the Fuji sensor? Does it enable a good lens like the 55 micro-nikkor to be sharp across the frame?
Any reviews, samples, experiences, etc, are appreciated.
