AT the local abbatoir. The farmer puts out the leftovers, the eagles take full advantage. There were 300 there on Saturday.

Many thanks Randy, yes it sure was. Some days there's 200-300 eagles around, if you get there soon after the farmer feeds them.

Hi Sandy, thanks. LOL yes I took quite a few shots, almost filled one 16 Gb card, about 1300 shots. Plus I kept more than I expected, about 150 keepers.

As always, great captures, Ian.

If I could only be so lucky as to come across such a scene. Lol!

Hi Phil, thanks much. Yes I'm fortunate to have this spot close by. He feeds them pretty much all winter. Most of my local eagles disappear and I suspect this is where they go.

Thanks Dan, yep, at times the landing zones get crowded and there's wings and claws everywhere. The younger ones seem to come in more out of control.

Great shots as always. Love that first one. That curve in the wings on the downstroke for some reason is one of my favorite BE poses.

It was at a local abbatoir, cattle raised for the beef. He sells steaks and roasts right on site. Thanks for commenting!
