Terry McDaniel wrote in post #18981924 ![]() A person could spend 24 hours a day on this forum if life didn’t get in the way! ![]() I think of buildings here in Oklahoma as old, then I remember over yonder where you live and suddenly Oklahoma doesn’t have any old buildings! The oldest church in Oklahoma was built in 1845. Pretty young by European standards. I don’t have any photos of it, but google Wheelock Church to see it. Rumors abound that the church and adjacent cemetery are haunted. Without going into detail, I can say that my brother and I may have done some things that have enhanced that belief in certain individuals! ![]() Terry, Terry, Charles

Dec 31, 2019 14:17 | #6 This was, until a flood a few years ago destroyed it, was one of the oldest structures in Oklahoma. It was a watermill in the Choctaw Nation, what is now McCurtain County, OK. These are scans of negatives I found today. Lots of memories from there. I learned to swim in a little pool downstream from these photos.
