Very nice!

Do you have any showing the lower portion of the building also?

Terry I'll second that, please.
You should know Charles will mostly, often, always ask that, and if he doesn't I will :p

My wife and I went out exploring in Redstone, NH.
Redstone was once a thriving hub for all things granite in NH.
There is an abandoned quarry in the hills of Redstone. This building housed the giant lathe that turned huge granite columns.

Another smaller lathe. It must have been some undertaking in it's time.
Here is one of the pulleys that drove the massive leather belts.

From lathe's I have worked with in the past, although what I worked with was MUCH smaller(!) I would call this the Tail Stock.

Fantastic find Chris
Interesting. Never thought how those columns were made.
Old machinery is always interesting to me.
Be nice to see those preserved for future interest.
Thanks for sharing.

I'm with you there Inspeqtor. Tailstock to me too.

My ambition for a good while is to grow old disgracefully. So far my wife tells me that I am doing really well!
