It snowed in the high desert Thursday last week, so I dropped everything Friday and headed out there first thing in the morning.

It looks unreal. Thanks for going there and showing what we don't expect at J-Tree.

Beautiful!

When you see my camera gear you'll think I'm a pro.
When you see my photos you'll know that I'm not.

I live in a different part of the High Desert, the December 26th Snowstorm was the most snow I have seen in many years. Lots of snow still on the ground still. Glad the drought years are behind us now.

Oh, wow! . That is so wonderful!

I know that any precipitation at all is rather infrequent in Joshua Tree, so I imagine that snow like this is especially rare.

I wish I lived closer - would love to get there for a snow event like this. . I'd especially love to photograph the Gambel's Quail and the Roadrunners in fresh snow. . Did you happen to see any birds or mammals when you were there?

.

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

I didn't see any animals at all, not even many birds now that I think about it.
I've seen hawks, rabbits, and coyotes pretty regularly in the park on other trips.
