This is a nice photo, Richard. On the way to our Lake millerton, we have a mountain called Table Top. It's very much like the one in your picture, except ours appears really flat (hence the name Table Top).

thanks Mike. Yours is half as high again as this so I see.
Roland is quite unique as it sits out from all the other mountains and just dominates the landscape. The view to it changes considerably. That one is from west. All others I've taken are from north as is our view from home.

Here's one from Sheffield towards Mt Roland with the farm of my childhood days in bottom right behind the row of houses

You certainly grew up in a lovely looking setting, Richard. This photo really gives the impression of just how big Roland is. Very nice landscape shot!

Flowers still going in Mount Rainier National Park (!)

btw I accidentally activated the SOS on my garmin InReach satellite beacon last night hiking at Rainier. I was able to cancel it. I spent quite some time giving thanks and apologies to everyone who responded.

Yeah if you can do Hood River valley @ sunrise in the month of early April, you'll get the pear orchards blooming. You have to be there for the first few hours of the day as it's south facing and the haze will make it impossible. Polarizing filter is a must.
