We have Everlasting Daisies like that.

Not sure Dandelions would be high on farmers preferred pasture.

A couple more Canyonland shots, two different days. Sunset looking east at the La Sal Mountains, and sunrise looking west at the Orange Cliffs.

I'll second David's comment.
Quite surreal. Magnificent scenery.

One looks at these landscapes and the mind wonders the forces that shaped them.
And in the light of modern climate changing phenomena those conditions must have been ferocious.
