Last remnants of sunset at Lake O' the Pines. This area has benefitted from a concerted effort to clean up areas of the shore. I hadn't been to this particular spot for almost 10 years.

Charles you really capture some beautiful photos of this area.
I can appreciate how captivating a place it must be but also how much more it would be on site.
I love your colour renditions, but that's my preference.

Really enjoyable thanks

Richard

I think this is either Split Rock , Turks and Caicos, taken 12/1/2020, transportation provided by Silly Creek Water Sports. This was one of the "Jump" points ( nobody in our group elected to jump ) was quite interesting in that the little rock had an Osprey nest with a nesting Osprey in it .. it was near "Pirates Cove" .. which was a cove and a hole to the top of the cave which allowed access to the top (via ladder).. The 2nd photo is the view looking back at the boat from the bottom of the ladder.

Split Rock... Turks and Caicos, this is the view from up on top, after climbing the ladder in "Pirates Cove" , looking north towards Bonefish Point from up on top of the ladder and the 2nd photo is the rock carvings which were up on top and probably the only smooth rocks up there.

I think the lighting and shadows make it look like the letters are sticking up. I looked at it a couple of times, too.

Thank you, Richard! I do love it there. The hip waders really reduce the normal limitations for getting good angles for compositions too.

Thanks for the comments ...

It was extremely bright and it was a bit difficult because i didn't have time to expose the shot properly ... I was always playing catch up with the rest of the my group they are always in a hurry ... they don't have the interest in photography that i do.

That's where Kirk fought the Gorn. And also Bill and Ted died there. I've always wanted to visit the park.
