You must have spent many hours in that spot waiting to take that photo! :) Well done too!

Still waiting for the wisdom they promised would be worth getting old for.

Hahaha I was actually just lucky to be in an apartment with unobstructed views. I hired the lens for the night as I didn’t want to pass up the opportunity. This was one of the few shots that actually turned out.

Up at St. Mary's lake, where it was just stupidly absurdly windy. This seems to be a wind tunnel area, the terrain focuses the wind to be especially strong through this gap, that's why the trees are all gnarly and the ground is bare, even though they've probably had 200 inches of snow up there.

A new spot for me. Chicago Lakes, Nr Mt. Evans CO.

I thought this would be fairly well traveled. I was wrong, I was the first person to even enter the wilderness for 6 days and ended up breaking trail for 2-3 miles. Didin't look like anyone had been farther than the first 1/2 mile for several weeks at least.

Good to see some fellow Colorado photographers here. That looks like quite a hike in Edward.

Patrick, those trees are so cool. Nice work to both of you.

Thanks.

Yea, even though my wife and I agree that she will only call SAR if I am not back in contact by 8am the next morning, when I get bogged down with no cell coverage I think she gets testy. This was one of those 'testy' evenings.
