He sees an improvement in AF performance when lenses and extenders are used together on the mkIII. This camera is getting more and more interesting. Due to the new low pass filter I would say yes as far as retaining better IQ over the 1dxII. If they improved the extender performance then wowza, my 400mm 2.8 with the 2x is already amazing with the 1dx II.
