Are RF lenses going to be handled here over the long haul or will the RF get its own deserved (IMO, obviously) sub-forum here?

The main reason I ask is that there is starting to be sincere RF chatter in this forum, and I fear the early history will get lost if those posts are not moved to the new forum should one ever be created.

We have been discussing EF-M lenses in this forum since the introduction of that mount. I see no reason why this forum shouldn't contain the discussions for RF mount lenses, as well.

My "argument" against that way of thinking would be that the EF was a universal communications and pin-out regardless, so that EF was essentially EF. RF is a new technology, mount size and communications theory. Personally, I think it presents the opportunity for a deserved new sub but that's why we all have opinions.

There aren't that many new threads that get added on a daily basis to the lens forum. It just seems unnecessary to me to subdivide it by different Canon mounts and fragment the discussions.

Maybe add RF to the title of the sub forum? Could be helpful for a new member when searching for the appropriate section.

I agree with this, as labeled now it's "Canon EF and EF-S Lenses" so why not make it "Canon EF, EF-S, EF-M and RF Lenses" -- or the shorter, easier, all-inclusive "Canon Lenses"?

And include the type of lens you are writing in the subject header about when a new thread.
