Every week we select a new theme, and then go out and shoot that theme. This week the theme is Details. As always be as imaginative/creative as you like when interpreting the theme, creativity is what we're looking for.

Whether it is God or the Devil, it's in the Details.. Show us the Details.

Here are the rules:
1. Shots need to be taken between Tuesday, after the new theme is posted and the following Monday by sunset (Whenever that is for you). Because this activity is supposed to encourage us to get out and shoot, please don't post old shots from your archives. Snapshots and art are equally welcome -- just get out & shoot, and then share!
2. Post your shots at any time during the week.
3. Post a maximum of two shots if you're uploading them to POTN (i.e., attaching them). You can post more than two if you're linking to shots that are not hosted by POTN (i.e. embedding them) but keep within POTN rules. Also keep within POTN rules about size. A copy of the size rules can be found here: IMAGE POSTING RULES
That's it! Have fun! As always be as imaginative/creative as you like when interpreting the theme, creativity is what we're looking for.
An index to previous weeks can be found here: POTN WORLDWIDE PHOTO WEEK INDEX

That's it!
Have fun!

Ewwwww,Renata, that is pretty disgusting -?
Please clean that cat's eye and put some drops in there, but we all don't need to see that.
How about a pretty eye picture rather than what the vet should see.

Joayne, sorry to have upset your orderly world. He is a wild cat that visits me once in a while and would not let me do any ablutions. He has no owner; at least not that I know of. The story I've heard is that he's been abandoned I've been taking care of him for years and would love to take him to a vet but there is no way to do that as he visits on random days whenever he feels like it. and I take care of him as much as I can but obviously I cannot describe the full story here...it's a long one.
Again, I'm sorry to have upset you. If necessary, I will delete his eye picture. Just let me know.

Renata.. I know the story.
You have been very sharing about this.
The image is in another thread.
I just don't feel that this fits here.
I would ask that you remove the image.
I will add that image posting rules include the following:

* Do not post the same image in multiple forums or in multiple posts. The end result will most likely be one of the threads being deleted by a moderator.

I will add that claiming that my world is orderly, as some kind of judgement seems a bit unkind.
You do not know me.

Joayne, I will delete that image that seems not to be fitting; sorry about it as I didn't mean to be unkind or judge you at all. I'm just surprised as this image was merely representing a detail as the thread required. Though I've been sharing this poor cat's story in another thread before, it has never been an issue. Talking about other images over a period of months if not years . Seems that it is now which I don't understand but will do as you wish. You asked me to clean his eye and yet, I can't as described in the cat thread.
Whether it is God or the Devil, it's in the Details. Show us the Detail .Quote from the initial post. This I don't understand and am confused. So let's play a fair game. Both of us.
I hope it's all good now. :-)

I had no idea this was in the forum rules. I've posted many images more than once, and so have many others. For instance, there's much overlap between Urban Life & Travel and People. An image can get into several threads on Urban Life & Travel alone: your B&W, your best B&W, urban candids, a locality thread like Chicago or New York. If this rule were enforced, quite a few members otherwise in good standing would be in trouble.

I routinely reuse images from WWPW in the A-Z Game, the Colors Game, and TPBM. (I try to wait a few weeks before reusing any.) Without the stimulus of WWPW to send me out looking around, I'd have much less material to use in those "just for fun" threads.

Now I feel like a major violator. :-(

Don't feel like a major violator, Oh. Exactly, many cross post in several threads/forums daily and I can't help but feel that some rules are imposed randomly, particularly on some, and it's not the first time vmad

No fair play here...sad story.

I had no idea this was in the forum rules.

It's called crossposting, OhLook and most forums forbid it. I hate crossposts. I have somebody on ignore because he posts in the same threads I follow and I hate having to see the same images three or four times over.

Of course it shouldn't be a problem posting a WWPW pic in one of the other threads you mentioned, just don't post them at the same time. Use older images for those threads. Then nobody cares.
