Wide angle or 11-24 for Page AZ canyons?

I've schedule a photographer's tour for Cardiac Canyon 1/21/20. I've never been to the canyons before. I've read a 16-35 is a wide enough angle but just wanted to be sure. Has anyone shot these canyons with Canon's 11-24?

For every photographer who thinks 16mm on FF is more than wide enough, there will be another photographer who thinks you are losing out if you do not have the 11-24mm for its 11-15mm range of ultrawide views.

I fall into both camps. and there ARE shots that you need to use a short telephoto to best capture certain features (and not merely the magnitude the the surroundings)!
