I have 3 remote units that I have always used to control my cameras remotely for high speed shooting of hummers.

I when I had my 50D 70D and 80D I could fire them as fast as they would run just like I was pushing the shutter button ( i gave my 50 and 70 to the kids)

Now with the 90D and 6D mkII the same remote shutter controls will only fire 3 shots when the remote is set to single and the camera is set to high speed, the 80D on the same transmitter at the same time will fire as long as you hold the button at 7 FPS.
If I set the remote to H high speed and hold the shutter down rather than getting 10 FPS out of the 90 and 7 out of the 6D I set 3 FPS and it resends the signal every second so it WILL do 3 FPS as long as the button is pressed but that is horrible

Has anyone had this problem?

Also what is a good remote that I could control 3 cameras at their max FPS at the same time with one button push?

Is any type of bracketing engaged? Exposure, focus, FEB, WB?

If HDR is turned on, you will only get 3 shots with every release of the shutter.

No HDR is not turned on. I have made sure that the 90 and 6 are all set the same as the 80, still 80 gives me 7 FPS on remote shutter release but 90 and 6 give 3 FPS

If I use bluetooth I get the full FPS on the 6D will check the 90D for that today by using my smart phone and that may be what I have to do, have a control for the 80D and the phone for the other two if I can get them both to respond at the same time

I have the pixel TW-283 remote handset and the TW-283RX receiver which I use with my Canon 7D MkII. If I set the camera to high speed continuous shooting and the remote to single shot then I get 4 frames by holding the remote button down, if I release and repress then I get a further 4 frames.
If I set the remote to continuous shooting (multiples squares on LCD) then I get proper continuous shooting with the camera at full speed (10 fps) all the time I hold the button down. I can't imagine why your cameras are acting differently unless perhaps you have a different version of the remote control.

beats me.

I am using for hummers at the feeder, starting to wonder if 3 fps isn't enough to get some good shots, also at 3 fps it won't over flow the buffer on the 90D
