Hey guys, new here not sure where to post.

My name is Kenneth,I am a leathersmith and run a small Leather shop from my house. This year I'm working on a big push to go from hobby to full time.

I recently bought a Nikon d3500,stock lense.

Trying to learn as much as I can.

I would like to take some lifestyle photos to set myself apart but how do I do this solo?

Photos of me putting the wallet in my pocket seem boring in my head.

Ideally photos of me paying for something sound good but I don't know how to set that up

When it comes to product photos, the white background just seems so boring..Heres what I been doing,it's ok but needs to be amped i think

Looks like you used a flash as the top half is exposed more than the bottom. Typically produce boxes are the best for this but it gets a little more complicated. That being said your shot looks OK to me but you may want it more professional looking.

This forum is OK but you may want to post this in the Flash and Studio Lighting forum.

Would you choose a photographer to design and produce a leather item?

Unless you are very poor, opposed to the concept of barter and find yourself with way too much times in your hands, I suggest beginning a search for a photographer and/or marketer in your area.

I would NOT buy the item your photographed even at a very low price. The same item in the hands of an experienced professional could tempting.
