For sale in the Continental US

EOS 1D Mark IV, with box and all accessories, 1x LP-E4 OEM Battery, LC-E4n Charger, etc.

I will also include for free the RRS L bracket, 4x CF cards (for anyone that only has SD to get you shooting) 2x Kastar LP-E4 copies

$595.00 paypal shipped and insured.

Camera and accessories are in excellent condition. The 1D4 just returned from my local (very good) shop getting a full tuning and cleaning. Shows some signs of wear as seen in photos, but all LCDs are perfect, and everything functions great.

Contact me here via PM.

Shutter count, please. Ever had shutter assembly/mirror box replaced?

The shutter is original. How would I get the count on a 1D4? (I know it could not be done on the 1D3)

I am the second owner.

I had a 1DIV at one time. I was able to get a shutter count using one of these: EOSCOUNT, EOSINFO, or SHUTTERCOUNT. Not sure which one worked, but they are the three installed on my computer.

I tried two of the "online" ones where they inspect an image, and no go. The message said it can't do it for the 1D4. I'll have to use one where I plug it into the USB. I won't use EOSCOUNT (I think it's that one) because it will mean way to many things to install to get it to work, (32 bit this, Explorer that, etc.) But I guess I have to unbox the whole thing and do it soon.

To get the shutter count you have to take a new picture (RAW file without any kind of modification) and then to upload this file with this free program http://www.freeshuttercount.com/ (external link)

Thanks,
The link goes to an app that needs to be downloaded and installed... I tried two of the online ones and both said that they won't work with this cameras files.

Sorry for the delay on this folks, I will in fact try to get to this tonight when i get home from work. I'm dealing with a new install of Windows 10, and that has me a little confused.

That said, no one discussing shutter count here is actually interested right? I'm not holding anyone up?

Not holding me up a bit. I just noticed no count, and assumed someone would ask. I've already sold all me EF gear and moved to 80D & EFS, and Pentax MF film stuff.

I can confirm that I used ShutterCount on my copy of the 1DIV. It worked fine, but I don't remember about doing anything other than download/install the program.

I wouldn't worry about it, Jake.

When I've sold cameras I have never bothered to get the shutter count, and I everything I have ever put up for sale has sold very quickly. . I buy every one of my cameras used, and have never asked anyone for a shutter count. . It is not necessary information. . Heck, I'm not even interested in seeing picutres of the cameras or lenses that I buy used!

Some will want it, but you can make things a lot easier on yourself if you just figure that those people are not the market that you are interested in selling to. . Someone will come along who wants your camera at your price who isn't interested in the shutter count, and that will be a nice easy sale!

.

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

Nodody can argue this logic. The 1D IV is a truckload of camera for this price. At this point, age is a testament to "This is a good one!" I just picked up a Voigtlander Perkeo that is about 70 years old. It works like new. I did not ask shutter count before I handed over the cash.

I used this on my 1D4 and it worked great on Win 10!

He provides a link for the needed program!

Good luck with the sale

Maybe I don't know what a 'description box' is. All I saw were EOS-R links on B&H. What am I doing wrong?

Progress. I tried opening it in YouTube. I got the .rar page, clicked that. Up pops the list of 4 things, none of which are active links. Still trying.

OK. Got the .rar downloaded. Windows has no idea what to do with that file. Googled .rar. It looks like I have to download something else in order to extract whatever is in the .rar file. I'm done.

I looked around for ShutterCount. Apparently it is now available only for Mac, and is no longer free.
