I think that's a great idea. . Just be sure to give it plenty of time to get fully used to it.
Too many people "give it a try", say they don't like it, or "never got on with it", and go back to shutter button. . Then later you find out that they only tried it for a few weeks, never giving it a fair shot at all.
In order for you to know if something works for you or not, you have to try things long enough so that they can can become completely ingrained in your muscle memory. . This could take several months of daily use. . Once you do it so much that your thumb just automatically does the right thing, without your brain even thinking about it, then you have finally gotten to the point where you can say that you gave it a fair try. . Only then can you fairly assess whether or not it is right for you.
Personally, I took to it right away. . I mean, it was so intuitive for me that the day I started using BBF, I was completely used to it immediately. . But some people are very different, and it could take months to get to that point.
