Maybe...see https://www.digitalcameraworld.com …i-images-and-specs-leaked (external link)

I’m not considering one, but I note it is lighter than the T7i by about an ounce. I do like some “heft” in my hands; at least for me it helps to steady things.

I would guess that not many of us do, but this question got me reminiscing about my first dslr, the t2i. I took some really good shots and learned a lot with that camera. Over the years, I’ve upgraded several times but the t2i has a special place in my heart!

I also confess that I recently got excited about another “T” series camera. Over the holidays, Canon had a clearance sale and I picked up a brand new t6s for $216 shipped. It probably won’t see much use, but I couldn’t pass up the deal!

I can say the same for my first: the Rebel XTi/400D.
I relearned much about using aperture & exposure with that gem,
without the repeated expense and hassle of film, which freed me.

I own The T8i. I love this camera. Throw it in the truck and take it everywhere I go. Rugged and takes nice Pictures. I own large frame cannons and Nikons but this one is made to take the abuse of trucking around the woods and bumps and stumps.

Just purchased a lightly used T8i to replace my T3i. Anxious to give it a go.
