Agree - I need to see some fast sports! (And no complaining about the weather - that's why we need these cameras :-P)

I can post some hockey from last night if you want I’ll be going through them later today.

For once , I didn’t do or have to do any micro adjustments either. With bare lenses or extenders. My 7dii. I had to do +7 on my 500 f/4 right away. But even that. That cameras focus was so hit and miss with any lens I had on it. This camera is much better for sure.

I got my 1dx boxed up ߘ. Will send back to B&H today and we will see. Hopefully doesn¢t take a month, but got no idea.
Even tho I pre ordered first and got camera early, sounds like I may go to end of line for a replacement...

I called canon. He said he would return it too. Said sounds like maybe I got an electrical issue. Based on my error code / log and what was happening. He said firmware probably wouldn’t cause all the issues I saw.

Well, at least you can just swap out for new one. Good thing. Bummer about having to wait for another to become available, I'd imagine you;d at least move to the top of the line above other pre-orders, but who knows.

Yeah we will see. Hopefully goes smoothly to get a new one. :-). Just sucks since Owl season is just about over for Short-Eared, as well as Rough-Legged Hawks and such.
I was able to get some 5.5K Raw/4k videos and nice shots, so is something at least. But they might be gone before I get the camera back.

On a side note: My friend and I also saw the same thing on our bodies. I didn't realize at first you can flip up the little OVF cover for long exposures...
But on both of our flip/covers, UNDER the glass/eye piece, we can see a little dot of glue or oil or something, stuck to the flap.
I would not use that flap, so it's fine I'm sure, but at first I was like..... wtf is that??

I have not tried this, but it seems to me that there was indeed a lot of "movie here vs images there" configuration in the menus that I had never seen before.

Here's the page;

So it seems like the once the focus point has locked on it sticks to the subject like glue. Is this still the case when a zoom is used and the focal length is changed during tracking?

Shakespeare's RICHARD III Dress Rehearsal

large fine jpeg, some cropped for composition, some full size. Exported from C1 for upload @ 1280 on the long side, so these are not good for 100% viewing to determine IQ,.
No tweeking other than the crop ( with the possible built in export sharpening, but it's a new install of C1 on windows 10, so i don't even know if that's enabled here.)

Apparently NOT 1280 on the long side, but 1280 horizontal, so some of the portrait crops are too tall to display here.. again, I need to fine tune my new C1 install :(

Sadly none of the exif is coming in, neither the camera nor the lens is supported yet. sadly even Zenfolio appears lost so it'll have to wait until I get home, but I was set to auto ISO, with a minimum shutter speed of 1/800 if I recall correctly. I would guess they hit pretty high iso!

1DXIII (obviously) & Tamron 35-150mm f/2.8-4

In M using Auto ISO, the one thing i wanted to have was Exposure Compensation, which my 1D4 was unable to do. Now i have it its awesome and i can adapt to the scene i am shooting(i.e bright BG or dark BG, which throws the Auto ISO off!). I have set the Star button for that
