Heck I was thinking throw it in live view for the full 20fps and make this beast earn it's keep :-D

 I'd just been saying to my wife earlier that I could do with some moving subjects to practice on, this was what I got!

Card reader arrived today - but I don't have the USB port standard on my PC

Did you sort your card reader issue?
I have an adaptor cable spare if you need one.

I know you posted these some time back but......
I did not realise what super images the 50mm 1.2 could produce.

I've steered clear of the lens so far as its reputation was not great.
I owned one years ago but that was on an entry level camera.

I think you took the jokes wrong, the image is very nice, just funny it was taken with Canon's fastest camera to date with one of the slowest creatures out there :-D

The 1.2 is one of those lenses that you either love or hate. There's really no in-between. it's not very sharp wide open and if you're stopping down, arguably you can get the same image shooting with the 50/1.8. And then one has to contend with the focus shift issue at times. It's a fun lens for me but I certainly wouldn't recommend it as one of those "must-have" primes. :)

DXO scored MKIII below MKII. Why? Because it’s 2020. Nothing makes sense anymore!

What score are you speaking of? A human, verbal rating might be expected to be made in the context of time, but a numerical score shouldn't.
