My wife is going to attend a baby shower for a friend. She had asked my wife to take some candid shots at the shower for her, nothing fancy. My wife does a little photography, mostly outdoors, landscapes, kids etc. Mostly uses the preset modes on the Canon T3i.

Question is, should I rent/borrow a flash for use for the shower? It will be indoors in fellowship hall at church, lit with overhead fluorescent lighting. I thought I would put a Canon 17-55 f2.8 on the T3i for a lens. If I were doing it, I would probably do it without flash but thought maybe flash would be easier without worrying about different adjustments on the fly

Thoughts?

Thank you in advance
