Howdy All,

If anyone has any of the mechanism for the Canon 50mm f/0.95 lens, my brother has this lens in the photos and would like to make it useable. Toss me a PM if you have anything to sell that could be useful and I'll put you in touch with him :-). Also, don't hesitate to post any info that would be useful in getting this lens restored. He has access to someone who can recoat the glass and I think he's got someone to rebuild it if he can get the missing parts.

I'd think your or his best bet would be to post this over at the MFLenses Forum (external link).
My suggestion would be to mention Canon 50 f/.95 in a thread title.
Anything at or below f/1 generates a lot of buzz over there.

It seems to be a C-mount, or CINE, as evidenced by the TV mark.
C-mounts can be adapted to many modern cameras, but not all.

EDIT: Due to obtuse restrictions here, I am injecting this:

You can NOT post photos/pictures in a first post.
You CAN post photos/pictures in subsequent posts.
Members may quote a first post to display pictures.

It's a spam-prevention measure.

Howdy All,

Loooong story short, he sent the lens to a guy in Poland who made a beautiful Leica mount for it. My brother then sent it to a guy in Irvine who recoated the glass. It's now been sold to a Leica user. I think it quickly went for a little under $3K without any advertising :-).
