Apologies, but I've noticed some odd posterisation artefacts in the Flickr images that are really bugging me, so I've removed the images from Flickr while I try to fix the problem.

(I've tried to delete the thread but I keep on getting an 'Error 3').

I'll repost as soon as I've figured out what's causing the problem.

Take 2...

Awesome set Scott.
The buffalo leaning into the weather, all snow and ice encrusted is a beautiful photo.

You can't concoct images like this.
Obviously immersed in the landscape. Well done.

I love winter photos from Yellowstone. Access is so limited that it makes it special when I see photos like yours. I have never been there in the winter, but that is one trip that I would love to make.

Very nice. I went last February & the year before that, too. A magical place in winter for sure.

Life is hard...but I just take it one photograph at a time.

I love them all, but my favorite is the fox(?), the smaller one.
It looks REALLY soft, but I can still appreciate what you were going for.
Way to use the negative space, that is how it is done, right there!
I have tried to do that but NOBODY can appreciate when it is done, sometimes it just goes over their collective heads. heheh

You should use another place to upload images to here rather then use Flickr as you hosting site, they make the best images look bad after they resize and resharpen them all, especially with any gradients.
Google has a free site that allows you to host images, or, at least, host them, whether or not you can use it for this site, I don't know.
I get more rainbows than a Leprechaun's stash when I put them on here.

Very, very nice, I am really impressed with your trip, and your vision.

Randy

Although access to the interior is limited to snowcoaches and snowmobiles, the road running through the Lamar valley is open to the public provided you have snow tires on. With the exception of maybe bobcats, you have as good a chance of seeing all of the park's wild inhabitants there as anywhere else.

Thanks! (The fox does look a bit soft in the downsized version. The original is OK - given that it's right in the corner of the frame and I was shooting with a 2x TC wide open.)

The foxes we came across were not people shy. One chased a mouse beneath the snow right up to my feet. It stopped & sneered at me, then took off after it’s lunch. We also had two coyotes come within feet of us. Boy it was cold, though. -26 two of my five days there.
