It was, and I've made the correction. Thank you. Distracted, wearing myself out trying to take care of my husband. He has a serious medical condition.

Sorry to hear about your husband, it's tough to be a caregiver. Hope he gets well soon.

Thank you so much to all who sent good wishes. I don't think a speedy recovery is in the offing. My husband went to the ER this evening to be admitted to the hospital. He's had several falls since the major one in August that I posted about. His balance and coordination have declined, and he's used a walker downstairs for several weeks. Upstairs, he's relied on handholds such as doorframes to get around, and sometimes a walking stick in addition. Today he fell at home while I was out getting groceries. When I returned, he was on the floor, with a bleeding cut on his temple from his glasses frame. We managed to get him back up to the walker, but he fell again in trying to get to the sofa to sit and rest. I cannot rescue him from a fall by myself. I'm an average-size woman, fully mobile but not young or athletic; he's somewhere around 6 feet. Two men–a neighbor and someone he brought–got him to the sofa with difficulty.

There was a discussion with him and that neighbor and another one who came over (we're all on good terms). I insisted that he wasn't safe at home anymore and I didn't want him to stay here another night. Finally I won.

I may be living alone for some time. His problem is neurological. An MRI last Friday showed that his spinal cord is being compressed in his neck. That accounts for a lot of symptoms that have increased during the past few weeks, such as reduced sensation and control in his fingers. It got to where I was doing everything for the household and helping him dress and undress, for example. His primary-care doctor left a message on Friday saying that he should see a neurosurgeon as soon as possible. That referral is still in process because of the holiday. I doubt that he'll be able to come home until after surgery or whatever the treatment is.

Thanks again for your messages of concern.

Thanks to you too, Mark.

Update: A highly recommended neurosurgeon will operate on my husband's neck tomorrow. Why not today? Only because he has four surgeries scheduled and doesn't want this one to be the fifth. Husband doesn't want it to, either.

This news is a relief. No photos, but it seems I spotted an emergency.

Sometime I'll get back to taking pictures. No opportunities recently except when I happened to see something while on errands and took a few quick shots.

Crossing fingers and toes for you and your husband, Look...
My partner had a similar problem and surgery was the cure..
I also had a similar problem 5 years ago and had Neuro-Spinal surgery
I'm upright and walking again and at the gym and better than ever.
