Hi Tom thanks for the suggestions, I appreciate your taking the time.

Personally I like to leave colours as seen. If the sun goes a bit under a cloud or the angle of the shot changes the sky colour, so be it. However given a choice, I must confess that I favour the richer clear blue skies.

By the way, I almost didn’t include the shot you liked better because I didn’t really like the sky tone in it. But que sera sera.

Tom's comments did give me pause to reflect. Sky color and its intensity in my shots has at times been a concern. But usually just move on- how can you go wrong with a clear blue sky, right? :-)

Hey Rog, thanks. I wait for days with blue skies so I like to show them. Mind you, I’m not big on a bird in a blue sky with nothing else; if at all possible I try to get something else in the frame - trees, or some other piece of landscape - like trees with a ton of cones :) .
