Sony A7Riv
Astrotech AT-65
Celestron AVX mount
Orion Star Shoot guide camera
PHD Guiding

16 lights 8 darks no flats.

I shot 10 shots for Orion proper. 8 shots for the core.
Blended after stacking each.

My next opportunity will be 3-4 months from now :( Time enough to thaw out from this very very painful shoot. It took
me three days to get over the cold inflicted damage to fingers/joints.

Also note I had a lot of help with Mo on the autoguiding. Here is Mo's work-

Thanks.
6 years, and 3 outings per year for deep space.
Here we get about 10 chances on Milky Way.
I'm going to Utah/Idaho/Montana this summer and hope
for warm clear sky :)
This last Orion was probably the end for me and winter DSO imaging. It took
me 3 days to get over the cold insult to fingers/joints.

Winter coveralls , insulated boots, electric socks or foot warmers as well as a good toboggin is great for cold weather . These areas you mentioned should produce some great dark skies ! Look forward to your posting when it happens !
