Well shoot, John, you got me. I didn't see I could have enlarged the poll. I'll turn it over to you from this point.

I started out shooting photos on 5Dii and 7D in 2008/2009, and that's all I was accustom to, w/ the wheel/dial and joystick. It worked well and I couldn't get used to others that didn't have the proper wheel/dial and joystick. Just a month ago, I got 7Dii, and all the features are just mind-boggling.

I wouldn't put 6D in the same category as 5D and 7D, simply because it lacks the proper wheel and joystick. 6D should be "more" in the category of 90D. People like 1D and 5D simply because of the detail form factor (e.g. wheel and joystick) which is the reason why the R5 retained those features.

I wonder if it's possible to edit the poll, so that you could include more choices like John showed. . The reason this would be helpful is because the way it is now, you had to lump the 7D in with full frame cameras like the 5D and 6D.

As for myself, I voted twice. . I'll take a moment to explain the reason behind my votes .....

While I have several bodies, the ones I currently use are the 5D Mark 4 and the 1D Mark 4. . I also have a 6D that I used until very recently, but now that I have the 5D4 I can't imagine using the 6D again.

The main reason I don't use the 6D anymore is because it is falling apart after just one year of moderate use ..... they don't seem to be able to withstand the rigors of everyday outdoor shooting. . Kinda sad, because the sensor yielded some nice image quality before it got all weird and glitched out.

.

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

Earlier, I went into "edit" on my original post and did not see a way to edit the poll. I'll ask Jake.

I got my EOS XSi (Rebel), back in 2009, because I wanted to get better pictures of my kid playing baseball. Before that, I had a Canon G2 and before that a Canon 35mm film point and shoot.
Later I joined this forum looking for information on how to get better pictures with my new XSi. This forum taught me several things I use in my craft today. Over time I got an EOS 70D (2014), upgrade my lenses and continue to learn more about photography. Recently I decided to jump into the FF world and got an EOS 5D4. I am still learning how to use it ;-)a
The kid that was the reason I got the XSi now wants to learn how to take pictures, so I gave him the XSi. The 5D4 had become my main camera and the 70D my backup.
I mostly shoot baseball, softball, track, soccer, football, basketball, I am trying to shoot volleyball, marching band, the occasional portraits, family portraits, HS seniors, and theater.

If you have any thoughts to add please feel free to post.

Suggest that you look at the thread which was the inspiration for this poll, last post (at the time of this writing). The data there may be "less imperfect" than the results here, depending on the data you want.

If you would, please explain how the numbers from this poll are imperfect. People simply vote for the categories their cameras apply to.

It depends on what you are looking for.
Here, you have a limited population of users, and those who choose to vote (I didn't, for example).
If you are happy with the data, then it is a good poll.

You probably should request that a mod close this poll, if you want everyone to go on the revamped poll.

Or edit the first posting w/ large disclaimer and everyone self-abandon it; don't need a moderator to hold our hands.

I edited the first post adding this:

Please note .. this poll was determined to be too flawed so I opened a 2nd similar poll that has the body choices separated. Please cast and recast you votes in the other poll, not here.

I'll ask Jake to close the first thread.

Thank you.
