I dropped and cracked my CPL filter and looking to purchase a new one and looking for recommendations. The range from $10 - $200
So it's confusing.. I mean it's a CPL filter can there be that much of a difference in them?

Archibald You must be quackers! More info | Feb 18, 2020 17:58 | #2 Good question and I don't have the answer.... but had the same question some time ago and found a website that reviewed a bunch of them, and a Kenko that I had scored close to the top. And I asked myself how a middle brand like that could be so good. And also why a few square inches of flat glass can cost so much compared to the highly advanced curved elements inside a lens. Count me as a doubter regarding filters of any kind. Canon R5 and R7, assorted Canon lenses, Sony RX100, Pentax Spotmatic F

There are single coated and double coated filters, which transmits only about 93% of light. 'Super multicoated' filters claim 99.7% (or more) light transmission.
